I was going to make frosted sugar cookies for tgus football friday, but I decided to speed up the process and went with sugar cookie bars. I added some frosting and sprinkles. Voila!
Big game for my Bills this weekend – at Seattle. Tough place to play for sure, but I have faith in my guys.

Remember to scoop your powdered sugar and flour from their containers into your measuring cup so you get the right amount. Also, preheat your oven for 20 minutes so it cycles to the right temp.
- Sugar cookie bars ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 7 tbs vegetable oil
- 1 tbs water
- 1/2 plus 2 tbs sugar
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Directions – preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9×13 pan with tin foil and spray with baking spray. In a bowl, cream butter, oil, sugar, powdered sugar and water. Add eggs and extracts. Blend in dry ingredients. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Bake 14 to 16 minutes (no longer). They will seem underbaked. Cool completely.

- Frosting ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 to 4 tbs heavy cream or milk
Directions – combine butter, powdered sugar and vanilla in a bowl. Add milk or cream, a tbs at a time, until you get the consistency you want. Spread over bars. Sprinkle with sprinkles. Store in a covered container in fridge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Go Bills!
